Comedian and actor Marlon Wayans, former Disney actor Brandon Mychal Smith and comedian Tone Bell are in the running to succeed Nick Cannon as the host of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, after he left the show last month. However, Cannon is wondering why each of the potential hosts are black.

When asked by TMZ‘s cameras early this morning (Mar. 6) about who he’s hoping will get the job out of the three choices, Cannon said, “why are they going with the black guys?”

“They can’t even get some[one] white?” he asked the cameraman. “I think Mario Lopez should do it! Let Mario do that sh**!”

According to a Facebook post written by the comedian last month, Cannon was threatened with termination by NBC executives several times, but the nail in the coffin was when they confronted him about his comedy special Stand Up, Don’t Shoot, where he used the n-word multiple times.

“Not to get too detailed but this isn’t the first time executives have attempted to “put me in my place” for so called unruly actions,” he wrote in his lengthy Facebook post. “I will not stand for it… I wish AGT and NBC the best in its upcoming season but I can not see myself returning.”
